Aftercare

Immediately after getting pierced, the area may become red and swell significantly. During the healing period, the ring or bar must maintain a proper fit—not too tight or too loose. Treat your piercing as a wound and follow these guidelines for optimal healing:

  • Minimize touching the piercing with your hands.
  • Clean the area twice daily with a mild, unscented soap until fully healed.
  • Gently pat the area dry with a clean towel or tissue after washing.
  • Keep the piercing dry after cleaning.
  • Avoid applying ointments, petroleum jelly, or similar products to the wound.
  • Do not apply disinfectants like Sterilon or Betadine directly on the wound until it is fully closed.
  • Avoid covering the piercing with bandages, except during sports if necessary.
  • For body piercings (like nipple or navel piercings), avoid tight or dirty clothing.
  • Stay away from pools, hot tubs, and natural bodies of water during the healing process, and avoid steam rooms.
  • Never remove the jewelry on your own.
  • Contact your doctor if you experience extreme redness, swelling, bleeding, pus, color changes, or any signs of infection or rejection.

As an added service, we offer free aftercare support throughout your healing period. You can always call or e-mail us!
